THURSDAY THIRTEEN--My Favorite thirteen TV shows

1. NCIS Great ensemble cast, humor, great writing and great characterization, PLUS Mark Harmon.
2. Criminal Minds Scary with some of the creepiest unsubs in inexistence. Have always liked Mandy Patinkin.
3. Bones Already a fan of Kathy Reichs' books, although this is a young Temperance, PLUS David Boreanaz.
4. Crossing Jordan Just hit cancellation land. I'll miss this eclective crew, but she's always around in syndication.
5. Dancing With The Stars Now that it's over for the spring season, it's a relief, but I'll be ready by the time the next season hits. Love the glittery costumes, the underdogs, the overachievers, and the PROFESSIONAL MALE DANCERS.
6. 24 Created by the dudes who did La Femme Nikita, only this time they have a decent budget. Full of twists and turns and a never-say-die hero, but I still miss Roy Dupuis.
7. CSI: Crime Scene Investigators Subtly drawn characters in the first and best of the franchise.
8. CSI: Miami Don't particularly care for the lead actor, but the rest of the ensemble cast is terrific.
9. Jericho Also on cancellation for the fall season. Shame. Shame.
10. Will Traveler This one has a lot of promise. Sort of 24 with two cool young hotties as the never-say-die heroes.
11. One Life to Live I watch all the ABC soaps, but this is the one I currently pay attention to.
12. Monk Have loved Tony Shaloub since the days of Wings.
13. The Closer Love Kira Sedgewick. It's too early to check spelling, so give my a break. I love her sassy, southern character--not to mention her brains.

Good News: New Contract With Samhain

Contract number four from Samhain Publishing. This time it's for ONE TOO MANY, the sequel to LOVE ON THE RUN (revised, re-release coming Nov. 6, 2007). It takes up where LOTR left off, and I'm not talking about The Lord of the Rings. ONE TOO MANY is a mystery/suspense with romantic elements and a bad case of honeymoon interruptus. For the hero, picture Aiden Turner and for the heroine, Kelly Ripa. Aiden Turner plays PI Aidan Devane on All My Children.

Dancing With The Stars

Another season of DWTS is over, and my pair didn't win. The luscious Laila and mesmerizing Maksim came in third, to the atheletic appealing Apolo Anton Ohno and his professional partner Julianne. It was a thrilling last evening of the dance competition with each of the three finalist couples earning three tens. Congratulations to all three pairs including Joey Fatone and Kym Johnson who came in second.

Web Site Update Coming Soon

It won't be as long as it has been, but my web designer and I have been hard at work on a new look for my web site. It will give a better reflection of what I write, romantic suspense. The new header on this blog is a tiny glimpse of the new site's appearance.

How about it! On One Life to Live Jessica finally told Antonio she's in love with Nash. Of course, the kicker is that Antonio is the one who's a match. Poor Jessie needs a liver transplant because of her liver cancer related to Hepatitis C exposure when she was the down and a little dirty Tess who shared a needle with one of her nasty shags.
Of course I became fond of the wild child because Jessica, before her integration, was dullsville.
Back to work on the web site. Stay tuned.

LIVE CHAT TONIGHT AT COFFEE TIME ROMANCE

Please join me for a live chat tonight 9PM EST at Coffee Time Romance chat room. I'll be talking about my current release and about my upcoming fall release, LOVE ON THE RUN. No Maks won't be there, but two other Samhain authors will be.

Just let me say Maks was looking GOOD last night on Dancing With The Stars, as he and his partner Laila Ali scored two perfect 30s. Way to go!

EIGHT RANDOM FACTS

Okay, I've been tagged by my friend and fellow writer, Meg Allison http://megallisonromance.com

Here are the rules:
1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.
8 random facts/habits about me …

1. I have a degree in interior design but never worked in the field. Okay I just couldn't give up the steady pay of my day job to take a chance on a new career.

2. I also have a degree in nursing and worked way too many years in the field. It was a blessing and a curse.

3. I'm addicted to Diet Coke. Now if I could just figure out a way to mainline it...

4. I'm older than dirt. I started my first book back in the 70s--yeah, that's right. I wish I'd kept writing because I'd probably be rich and famous by now. LOL

5. I don't know squat about html code which makes doing the links a real hassle. Thanks again, fiendish Meg Allison.

6. I was the editor on my RWA chapter's newsletter, and our newsletter won first place in our division, and I'm the third editor to do so. And that's why it was so damned difficult to find someone to take my place.

7. I blush when I write those love scenes, or maybe I'm just turned on. Is it scary that I might not know the difference?

8. I'm seldom far from one of my two computers. Not an exaggeration at all.

Dancing With The Stars

I realize I've been very remiss in posting about one of my not-so-secret passions, Dancing With The Stars. That's about to be corrected. I'm still in the Laila Ali/Maksim Chmerkovsky camp, although Joey Fatone is great, and I hope it will come to a showdown between Laila and Joey.
But the real reason for watching DWTS is Maks, the professional dancer. He's hot, gorgeous--and yes, he knows it. But so what, if I were hot and gorgeous, I'd know it, too. Who wouldn't?
Laila is a beautiful young woman. She's strong, sexy and more than a match in the charisma department for Maks.
Now not to neglect my ABC soaps. One Life to Live's Antonio needs to learn something about subtext. Jesssica loves Nash more than you, fella. Of course she can't just spit it out--soap writers must drive the audience mad before the secret comes out--she has to collapse in Antonio's arms. What a crock of horse pucky. Besides, the lovely Talia Sahid (whose protrayer should've won I Wanna Be a Soap Star) is waiting for the hot Latin Antonio to wake up and smell the capuccino. On the other hand, I'm a definite Nash/Jessica fan. Yes, she loves them both, but her love for Nash is stronger or she wouldn't have danced the horizontal mambo with him in the middle of a severe thunderstorm in a frigging rock quarry.
That's it for now. Off to work on my current WIP, Family Business.

THURSDAY THIRTEEN

THIRTEEN REASONS TO NOT DO THE THURSDAY THIRTEEN

1. It comes too often. Every FREAKING week.

2. It takes up valuable writing time.

3. I find too many reasons not to write anyway.

4. I'm lazy.

5. I'd rather write about soap stars and see their pix.

6. I'd rather write about the hot male dancers on Dancing With The Stars.

7. I can't figure out how to make the Mr. Linky Widget work anyway.

8. My actual blogging time has actually decreased instead of increased, but maybe that's due to the other blog I'm a part of. I only have so much brain power to spread around, folks.

9. I'd rather go out and buy more Diet Coke for an infusion of energy and creativity.

10. No one's actually reading this stuff anyway, except my mother and a friend or two.

11. Fill in the blank yourself.

12. Ditto.

13. Ditto.
